Sending Your Cards to Creative Kindness

Cards for Kindness truly appreciates the effort and thoughtfulness you have put into creating cards. To ensure all cards can be accepted by partner organizations, we kindly request that volunteers follow the guidelines and instructions below.

Card and Shipping Requirements

All cards must be 100% handmade
a. Please do not send store-bought, clip art or AI-generated cards
A2-size (4¼” x 5½”) cards are recommended
1. Many of the organizations we serve mail the cards they receive, so standard-size cards are especially helpful for mailing and distribution
Each card must be paired with an envelope and placed underneath the flap
1. Please do not place cards inside the envelopes
Leave the inside of each card blank, with no personal message
1. This leaves space for the card giver to personalize a message for the recipient.
2. Ensure the cardstock color is light enough to write with an ink pen
Do not include contact information on cards, such as email addresses, phone numbers, websites, or social media handles
1. Adding your name, initials, or a “Handmade By” stamp on the back of the card is always appreciated

Print out a copy of the email submission form and checklist
Fill out the checklist, including the number of cards you are submitting
Bundle cards (paired with envelopes) by sentiment in packs of 10 using rubber bands, tissue paper, or string
1. Avoid using rubber bands that will "bite" into the cards and envelopes
Place card bundles in the shipping box and use packing peanuts, tissue paper, or other protective materials to protect your cards
Place the printed checklist inside the box
Close the box and securely tape it closed
Write your Volunteer ID in large print underneath the return address label on the outside of the shipping box or envelope
